In The Community
Dr. Cat and the staff at AHAH are dedicated members of the community, and
believe in providing support in a variety of ways.
The Explorer Program
Dr. Cat has actively supported the Boy Scouts of America's Explorer Program. The program provides mentorship for high school students looking to discover their future. Participating students shadow Dr. Cat to learn more about veterinary medicine, to help them decide if that is the career they are interested in pursuing.

Hands-On Training
AHAH works with a number of local colleges to have students who are training to become veterinary assistants and technicians, do their hands-on training at the hospital.
Rescue Work
Working with rescues is a big part of AHAH. Dr. Cat serves on the board of Southern Style Great Dane Rescue, and also works with Water's Edge Great Dane Rescue, Dames for Danes, and Ruffus Rescue.
Dr. Cat fosters dogs from all four organizations and provides medical care for the rescues while they look for their permanent homes. Below are a few of the dogs that have been fostered at AHAH on their way to their forever homes.
