Dr. Cat was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia. Throughout her life she had one goal, to become a veterinarian and own her own practice. In 2008, she graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. During vet school she worked closely with both UGA V and UGA VI (the English bulldogs that are the university’s mascot). After graduation, she worked in a mixed animal practice in South Carolina for 2 years doing both small animal and equine medicine. However, the pull of her home town and a desire to be closer to her family led her to move back to Georgia in 2010. 

 

Dr. Cat purchased American Heritage Animal Hospital in 2013. She and her team work tirelessly to provide the best care for their patients.

Dr. Cat enjoys spending time with her family and friends and hiking with her dogs Josey, Buddy, Reese's Pieces and Rita. Clients will often see Dr. Cat’s dogs peeking out from her office door, as they love to accompany their mommy to work. You will also see them piling in and out of the clinic van.

Dr. Cat is passionate about great danes! She has been working closely with the breed and doing great dane rescue for the past 10 years. Her extensive experience with this unique breed has led her to become an outstanding great dane doctor.
