Dr. Cat McGinnis owns and runs American Heritage Animal Hospital in Snellville, Georgia. It is privately owned and independent, and every practice in our immediate area is part of a corporate group, which makes independent ownership rarer here than most people realize. That means no head office setting our protocols or quotas, and no treatment plans written by someone who has never met your pet.
Caring, honest and straightforward. Dr. Cat will tell you when something is worth doing and when it is not, and she will tell you what it costs before you agree to it. If a certain diagnostic or treatment is outside your budget, say so and we work with you to determine what can be done within your budget.

Most orthopedic surgery goes to Northlake Veterinary Surgery in Clarkston. Emergencies, internal medicine cases and extensive surgeries go to Med Vet Atlanta or Arista Advanced Pet Care Atlanta. Complex cases can also be referred to the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
There are some things that we as a general practice cannot handle, we want the best for your pet and would rather send you to the right person than take on something that belongs in specialist hands.
