Meet the team at American Heritage Animal Hospital

The team at American Heritage Animal Hospital has been together a long time. Loriee, our office manager, joined in 2015. Boy, our clinic cat and official greeter, has worked the front desk for over eleven years. Susan, our receptionist, has been with us for over five years. When you call, the friendly person who answers is usually familiar with you and your pet. That continuity is not an accident, and it is a big part of why clients stay.

Loriee | Office Manager

Loriee has worked in veterinary hospitals since she was 15. She joined American Heritage in 2015 as a veterinary technician and worked her way up to office manager. Loriee has a variety of animal companions including: four dogs (Willow, Isles, Tater and Matilda), one cat (Boy), three birds (Cricket, Blue and Sunflower) and a fish named Ernie. Her love for animals is deeply rooted and shows in everything she does here.

Susan | Receptionist

Susan has spent most of her life working in veterinary clinics and has been the receptionist at American Heritage for many years. She has seen and heard just about everything, and she enjoys getting to know clients and their pets. She has two children, Amanda and Mark, and a grandson, Ethan. She has a cat named Phoebe at home, but her real favorite is our clinic cat, Boy. She calls him a perfect animal and the best cat in the world. She even has socks with his face on them!

Misenga | Veterinary Assistant

Misenga joined the team about 3 years ago, after taking part in the high school shadowing program the hospital runs. Watching the work up close made her want to become a veterinarian herself, and she is building her skills here every day. She has two ferrets, Zorro and Margaux, and spends her free time with family and friends.

Ya'el | Veterinary Assistant

Ya’el is another one of our students that came to shadow here and didn’t want to leave! So, we gave her a job! She started last year and is so grateful to be continuing to learn from Dr. Cat. Ya’el grew up loving animals and has been surrounded by them her whole life. She looks forward to a career in our industry. She enjoys playing with her high energy dog, Whiskey and her cat Uno.

Boy | Official Greeter

Boy is the clinic cat and the first face many clients see. He has held down the front desk for over eleven years, and he takes his greeting duties seriously, which mostly involves being petted. One of the sweetest cats you will meet.
